    Hi Charlie,
I received this website from Craig’s assistant and was so surprised with the content. Craig came to America in 1960 as an assistant pro at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit NJ. That’s where I and two other friends met him. Don Rogers, Bill Rekpe and me were sons of members and quickly became buddies with this your pro. Craig was new to America and was anxious to make new friends. We were all golfers who played on the winning 1961 high school golf team from Millburn. That summer the three of us played golf together and our families welcomed Craig as a new son. A few years ago, Craig told me that he will always appreciate what we did to introduce him to American culture. One was corn on the cob, pizza with pepper flakes and mooning. Until your story of his accomplishments of playing in two Open Championships, Craig never told Don, Bill or myself of his achievements. This just goes to show what kind of a man Craig is. If we had known of this, we’d have gone crazy. I’ve been on Craig’s newsletter for four or five years now and look forward to seeing him again soon.

    Sincerely,

    Karl Swanson
