US Open was a JOKE. The venue was awful. Just wish other players had the “intestinal fortitude” to voice their opinions like Horshell did. You know they were thinking it but their “manliness” shrunk.

    Ok, I feel better

The U.S. Open at Chambers Bay was a thrilling tournament on a worthy course. I enjoy playing a running course. My favorite is Royal Dornoch. I think Chambers Bay could be improved by having a consistent strain of grass on the greens, rather than multiple strains that grow at different rates. Also, I think adding little islands of grass in the sand/bunker areas is unnecessary. To me it looks artificial and potentially overly penal. I’ve played lots of links courses and don’t remember seeing this condition on any of them.
