I’ve been focusing on initiating the downswing with my lower body trying both the hip bump and turning the left hip. They usually result in pulled shots or weak fades. I’ve heard opinions from every imaginable source. I even saw Palmer’s video with how he generates speed by quickly rotating his hips. Which do you suggest?

Charlie, I know you reach hundreds of people during a short period, but I was the lefty in the Wells Fargo group a few weeks back. You only had about a half hour with us, with your other two teachers spending about the same amount of time. To the point. All of you and especially you have put the fun back into golf for me. Four years ago I was a 2 handicap and because of injuries from years of football and abuse of my body I skipped to an 18 handicap. I’ve practiced the lag putting and rarely 3 put anymore, the shaft lean around the green and now land short pitches within a few feet of the hole, practice the solid contact drills you have us and now am able to hit flush contacts every time or if I misshit it’s not that detrimental to my round. My driving is coming back with the 75 to 80 percent swing speed and distance is coming back at about 250 yards. Again thanks, it was the best 90 minutes outside of church I have ever spent. Thanks again Marv Bedenbaugh
